Tioman Island, Pahang Expedition

Our multi-day expedition to Tioman Island, Pahang, departing from Kuala Rompin — a longer-format version of our flagship live-bait sea fishing, run over a minimum of 3 days and up to 5. Fishing follows the same bottom fishing and live-bait drift techniques as the Rompin trip, with an expanded target list adding dorado, red snapper, emperor, wahoo, and black marlin to the usual sailfish, mackerel, cobia, snapper, grouper, barracuda, and queenfish. Rate is RM4,500 per day, inclusive of daily drinks and lunch, guide, and fishing gear, for up to 4 anglers (up to 6 with the extra-pax add-on). Accommodation on Tioman is optional at RM350 per night for 2 pax, or anglers may arrange their own.

This is our expedition-format trip for anglers who want more time on the water than a single day allows. It departs from Kuala Rompin and runs out to Tioman Island, Pahang, with a minimum booking of 3 days' fishing and the option to extend up to 5.

Fishing technique and structure carry over directly from our Kuala Rompin trip — bottom fishing over reef structure for snappers and groupers, and live-bait drift for the more mobile predators. The extended range and time at Tioman opens up a wider target list: alongside the usual Pacific sailfish, Spanish barred mackerel, cobia, snappers, groupers, barracuda, and queenfish, anglers here also have a shot at dorado, red snapper, emperor, wahoo, and black marlin.

As with Rompin, no jigging or popping is involved — this is a live-bait trip throughout, with all tackle provided and set up by the guide.

Accommodation is separate from the fishing rate: a standard 2-night stay is available at RM350 for 2 pax per night, or anglers are welcome to source their own lodging on the island if preferred.

The RM4,500 per-day rate covers boat charter, guide, fishing gear, daily drinks, and lunch, for up to 4 anglers, with an RM200-per-pax add-on for up to 2 additional anglers (max 6).
